Why Bocas del Toro???
It’s a dream to live in Bocas, and we have done in-depth research about all the experiences that the Caribbean archipelago offers.
In Bocas del Toro, Panama, you can find a great diversity of activities, breathtaking natural environments, abundant fauna and flora, awesome beaches, coral reefs in turquoise water, Ngobe indian villages, mangrove islets in a lake-like scenery, a Biosphere Reserve and much more.

The Bocas del Toro archipelago consists of 9 islands, 50 keys, and 200 islets. You can sleep in a marine reserve in the National Park of Bastimentos in Cayo Zapatilla; go snorkeling and diving among coral reefs and mangroves; and learn to surf the waves. Sail in a trimaran; climb the jungle canopy and zipline down by Isla Bastimentos; fly over the archipelago in a paramotor trike for a bird’s-eye view of the islands with their endless greens and blues (awesome!); ride horseback through the jungle and beaches; go deepboard surfing (underwater surfing); and on quieter days, go kayaking and paddle sup.

For a more relaxed experience of Bocas, one can always just relax on a beach while sipping a cocktail and enjoying the surfers… (they’re not too bad! )
The standard tours around the islands and mangroves are done by “panga” boat, typical of the archipelago. At Cayo Zapatilla, where one finds beaches of “Caribbean catalog,” there are great varieties of starfish to be seen. You can see dolphins in the wild in Dolphin Bay on Bocas del Drago, Red Frog Beach. Then there’s Bird Island, Cayo Coral, Rio Mimitimbi… the list goes on!

Yet the most authentic way of seeing the islands is to get around as the locals do, which is by bike. Renting one is a must, as is pedaling around Isla Colon.
Wildlife here is bountiful, with sloths, howler monkeys, toucans, parrots, hummingbirds, crocodiles, dolphins, starfish, tons of marine life, and a tiny red frog, unique in the world, native of the island of provisions), and a unique phenomenon that only occurs in a few places around the world – marine bioluminescence…
